After focusing heavily on Earth Day in its last round of YouTube uploads, Apple today has shared a pair of new iPhone 6s ads that each highlight a different feature of the device. The first ad is entitled “Fingerprint” and focuses on what Touch ID enables users to do, while the second ad is entitled “Onions” and highlights the 4K camera capabilities of the device.
In “Fingerprint,” Apple shows off that Touch ID is capable of doing a lot more than just unlocking your smartphone. For instance, it can be used in a variety of third-party apps and can also be used to keep track of boarding passes with Wallet and even unlock your car. “With Touch ID on iPhone 6s, your fingerprint does way more than just unlock your phone,” Apple says in the video’s description.
In the second ad “Onions,” Apple lightheartedly shows off the 4K camera featured on the iPhone 6s. The ad starts with a young girl shooting a video of the process of chopping onions. The video then goes on to sweep the nation by storm, with people amazed that the young girl shot the video with just her iPhone. The video ends with a cameo by actor Neil Patrick Harris. “4K video on iPhone 6s makes whatever you shoot look amazing. Even onions, ” Apple says.
Last week, Apple shared a pair of new videos highlighting its Earth Day and renewable energy efforts, while it previously shared a series of Apple Watch ads starring Nick Jonas and other celebrities.
