While Kyocera may have launched a rugged device with a “sapphire shield” display for Verizon less than a week ago, that isn’t stopping them from announcing another device for T-Mobile. This handset, while rugged in its own right, may not be flaunting a sapphire glass display, but the price point may be perfect for someone out there. Announced by T-Mobile on August 4, the Hydro Life is an IP57-certified device, which means it’s drop-proof, shock-proof and waterproof: With that, you’ll get a 4.5-inch qHD IPS impact-resistent display, with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 2MP front-facing shooter, and a battery measured in at 2000mAh. The Hydro Life also features Wi-Fi Calling, one of T-Mobile’s growing standard features. As far as pricing goes, you’ll be able to pick up the Hydro Life through Walmart stores beginning August 8 for $124.99 under T-Mobile’s umbrella. Or, if you happen to use MetroPCS, the same handset will go on sale for that regional carrier beginning August 29.
